And that's it. Yesterday night we participated in a treasure hunt prepared by the Group Leaders. It was funny to see Gonzalo, Barbara, Javi, Lidia, Jorge, Luke and Lizzie all dressed up.

We went to bed very excited because today was going to be the last day of camp.

We started the day with a team competition involving everybody. It was really tight and the winning group won by just one point! Then we all had a marvelous lunch with paella by the pool and spent some time in the water.

Now we are packing and getting ready for tonight's final party.

Tomorrow we will wake up very early (at around 6.30am) so we can reach Madrid by 1.30pm.
We hope everybody had fun while learning and practising their English at camp.

We certainly had a great time!

See you all next year!

Yesterday we had another great day. We went to a nearby lake and spent the whole day there canoeing (or trying to:) ), swimming, playing football, cards, etc. We had to walk around 5 km but it was worth it. As you can see by the pictures, the place was amazing.

To finish the day, the whole camp got together in the Disco.

Overall, it was a very tiring day but we went to bed with a big smile on our faces.

Hello!
The first week is over and we have done so many cool activities!
We have climbed the wall with Gonzalo, rode bikes with Javi, did horse riding and walked to the source of the river too!

It is very hot but we relax every day before lunch in the swimming pool.
We have been completing the English grammar games that Luke gives us very well. We get better each time!
Got to go now to write in our holiday diaries.
Bye!

Yesterday, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Fun Fair. The English group organised everything and invited the whole camp to come along.

Before that, while the older ones planned and prepared everything, the younger ones went on a nature trail with Luke. They were told many things about wild life in the woods and ways of preserving the environment. They also learned that we can enjoy nature if we take care of it and actually learned how to do crafts like picture frames with things they collected from nature.

At the fun fair, there were lots of activities to do such as Piñata, Put the Pen in the Bottle, Hang the Hat, Bull’s Eye, Fish the Duck, Knock the Cans Down, etc. It was great.

We finished the night with a water sponge throwing at the Group Leaders. It was payback time:)

The first excursion was to the source of the Guadalquivir River. We had to walk for around 6 km but it was worth it. As it was a very hot day, we stopped several times along the way to refill our water bottles, to rest and to enjoy the amazing scenery. We finally got to a very beautiful place where we could swim and spend some time.

The bravest ones also had an opportunity to walk further up the river. The water was cold but it was great fun.

After we came back to the Hotel and had a shower, we left again. We went to sleep under the stars in a nearby clearing. We don’t see a sky like this in Madrid

It was a great day today. We did many things. We started the day riding mountain bikes and finished it dancing in the disco. Last night we played a game where we needed to look for the group leaders hidden in the woods. It was fun.
We, the English group, do many things together but sometimes we get organised in two different groups. Today, for example, after the mountain bike session, while the younger ones made a nice desk tidy, the older ones learned a lot about being English and played some team-building games.
There are also some activities specially designed to learn and practise english grammar. Many times we do that in the pool and we organise games and competitions. As you can see in the picture, the girls in Luke's group won the final and decisive challenge of the day with a clear advantage over the boys.
So, the boys will need to work harder next time.
For now is bedtime and we really need to rest as we will have a tiring day tomorrow - the excursion to the source of the Guadalquivir River. We will tell you everything about it later.

First of all we arrived safe and sound yesterday. After 6 hours in the bus we were quite tired but very happy to be here.
After a nice meal to recover some strength, we spent the afternoon finding our rooms, unpacking and getting to know the rules of the Hotel.
It is called Hotel Rio Arroyo de la Teja and is a wonderful place. We will tell you more about this in the next few days. After dinner, the Group Leaders welcomed everybody in a general meeting
Today we woke up all excited because we were starting the activities, which included an assessment exam and then an orienteering game where we learned how to read a map. The purpose was to get familiar with the facilities and to know the surroundings.
Come back and we will keep you up to date.
